Honestly, my expectations were too high going in but it was a good experience overall. I mainly came for the soufflé pancakes and, of course, I went on a Sunday at brunch. After waiting for 30 minutes to be seated, we were warned that the pancakes could take close to an hour (we were too far in to say no). The eggs Benedict we ordered was nothing special. When the pancakes finally came out after an hour, they were visually pleasing but not worth the wait in my opinion. The red bean paste and fluffiness were nice, but it wasn’t justified by the price tag or total time. Would come back to try other items.

J.S. Foodies Tokyo is a fun new rival to PJ’s Pancake House, and judging by the line outside, everyone in Princeton knows it. The moment you step inside, it feels like you’ve been transported to a small Asian corner cafe — cozy, bright, and buzzing with people. The space is pretty small, so expect to wait. We waited about 25 minutes before being seated. The food overall was okay — it definitely leans toward a Japanese interpretation of Western comfort food. The sandwiches and burgers were decent, but nothing that really stands out. However, the kiseki pancakes are the real star here. They are incredibly fluffy, airy, and delicious. Since they cook them fresh, it takes about 30 minutes for the order to come out, so it actually becomes the main dish rather than a dessert. But honestly, it’s worth the wait. If you're in Princeton and want something different from the typical brunch options, J.S. Foodies is a nice change of pace. Come for the atmosphere and definitely stay for the pancakes.

This is what me and my wife order every time we come here. The chicken is so tasty with the maple butter dipping sauce ! We also love the chocolate banana specialty pancakes ! We came here on a Monday morning , I recommend coming during the week as they get extremely busy on The Weeknd’s and the pancake may take over 1 hour because they prepare and make in small batches for ultimate fresh and fluffiness. Great food, great service. Consistency!

Not a bad place to hang out with friends. The Japanese soufflé is quite delicious but needs to wait about 30 mins. Service wise some staff members are not very familiar with the menu, but otherwise everything else is okay. Atmosphere is comfortable enough to have a chat with clean toilets.

This is the spot to hit if you want real Japanese soufflé pancakes. Warning: if you come at peak times on the weekend, you may need to wait on hour for the pancakes as they only have so much flat top space and it needs to be made to order. Tip: order a sandwich or fried chicken to snack on as you wait for the pancakes. I brought my daughter on a weekday and there is no wait and it is much more civilized. We both loved the fried chicken. I also loved the matcha pancakes. I previously ordered the fruit pancakes but I preferred the matcha ones.

We are big fans of Japanese Souffle Pancake and Hojicha Tea and were super excited to found this Japanese restaurant in Princeton! We drove there early at 9.30 am before the crowd came. It takes about 20 min for the pancakes to be made and it was delicious! Souffle pancake are fluffy and soft - just like we had in Japan. Delicious! They also have other brunch items like chicken sandwiches and such. We will try those on our next visit!

A hidden treasure in an alley! Owned by the same Japanese company who owns Mariuchi mart. Their main menu features are the Kiseki Soufflé Pancakes. The only downside- the pancakes take 30-45 mins however, they do have other menu items to choose from and I recommend the fried chicken (a version of the chicken tatsuta) while waiting for your kiseki pancakes. Staff are efficient and friendly. Kudos to their graphic designer! Great graphic designs!
